Question: Does it damage the pistol to let the slide slam forward on my m&p 45 polymer pistol, With or without a bullet being loaded?

Answer:Yes, it is not a good thing to do too often. It will not hurt the gun after just a few times of course, but over time it's better to have that peice of brass in there to help 'cushion' the impact
